Alicia L. Anthony
Associate
I focus my practice in all areas of estate and tax planning, trust and estate administration, fiduciary litigation, and non-profit and family foundation advisement. I handle all related trust and estate matters, including preparation of wills, trusts, and powers of attorneys, probate, and administration of clients’ estates, accountings, federal and state estate and gift tax issues, fiduciary and kinship litigation, special needs and business succession planning, and charitable gifting. I also represent non-profits on planned giving and development-related matters and establish and advise private family foundations. As a substantial part of my practice, I regularly represent clients before the Rhode Island Probate and Superior Courts.
Having worked in the field of trusts and estates for more than ten years in both legal and financial capacities, I understand the sensitive nature of clients’ wealth and legacy concerns and believe that the best approach to planning and administration is to be a trusted adviser to my clients, working hand-in-hand with accountants and financial advisers to provide well-rounded guidance to achieve long-term financial and legacy goals.
Originally from Buffalo, New York, I now live in Newport with my husband, Xay, and our cat, Gracie. We love all things Newport has to offer, including sunny weekends on the boat and supporting our favorite community organizations.
I'm here to answer your questions, covering all bases, and guiding you through any process.
